Power for Living Christian Worship Center
Don't Forget the Journey
In the Beginning January 2006
Power for Living Christian Worship Center was birthed January 17th 2006 in the home of the Nichols Family in
Millington, Tennessee.  It was through much prayer and fasting that God began to move in a mighty way on behalf
of this small group of believers.  The Nichols pastored a  church in Sicily, Italy was transferred to Millington, TN
in 2004.  God lead the Nichols family to step out in faith and start having weekly bible studies and Sunday morning
worship services in their home.  It was then when God began to bring in the saints to assist in the vision that God
had birth in the heart of Pastor and Co-Pastor Nichols.  Wonderful people like Dr. Timothy Armstrong & Rev. E.
Faye Armstrong (who became our first official church members) came into the ministry to impart wisdom and to
put their hands to the plow.  Then God sent the Adams family, the Chew family, Sister Jasmine Hamilton, the
Latham Family and many other saints who were in the community, in other parts of the states, and in foreign
countries to pray for and to support the work of the ministry.  It was New Hope Christian Church in Sicily, Italy
under the leadership of Pastor Carlton Mebane that partnered with Power for Living to helped the ministry to find
its church home.   
After diligently searching for a small store front place to lease on a month to month basis God lead Pastor Nichols to
this beautiful property located in Millington, TN.  Being a small independent church with very few members the
seller of the property who was a former pastor himself was willing to lease the property to Power for Living with an
option to buy it by December 31, 2006.  As soon as the saints arrived on the property we began to believe God for
blessings us exceedingly and abundantly above all that we could have ever asked or thought.  God told us to take
ownership of this property and to claim it for the kingdom of God even due on paper we were only leasing it.  Right
away we began to build and renovate on this old house and garage to transform it to be used for God's divine
purpose and plan.  
In spite of the many people who said that we were foolish to start renovating on a property that we didn't even own,
we kept building in the name of Jesus.  In spite of the many people who said that a bank would never finance a
church so young and so small, we kept on building in faith.  In spite of many challenges and trail, God told us to
trust and believe that He will provide all of our needs, so we kept on building.  With very little resources we had to
learn how to be faithful with the little resources that we had, but we kept on building.
After much prayer and fasting God blessed Power for Living Christian Worship Center to get a loan to purchase all
seven acres of land, all for His glory.  In 11 months from it's birth God blessed exceedingly and abundantly above all
that we could have ever ask or thought.  
What a mighty God we serve!
All for the Glory of God!!!
In three years God has done great things and we are excited about all that God is going to do.  We shall stay
committed to the Greatest Commandment and the Great Commission.

                    We will:
                         P - Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and win soul
                        O - Offer Sacrifices of Praise and Worship to the God of our Salvation
                       W- Work diligently to meet the spiritual and physical needs of those who are in need
                        E - Equip the saints with the necessary tools to preach the Gospel
                        R - To promote a close Relationship with God and our brothers and sisters and Christ
